WHAT IS THIS?

Every year, the Tech Incubator organizes hackathons for students to learn technologies and explore new resources. This year, the Tech Incubator has teamed up with Queens College CS clubs Code Resolve and Girls Who Code to create an innovative and impactful hackathon for students to enjoy- no coding experience is necessary and all levels of experience are welcome!

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT?

  • Pre-Hackathon (12 hours before) - Form your own team of 3-4 people (all must individually register). Possible project ideas for each category will be posted in the Discord to encourage brainstorming and team formations.
  • During Hackathon (3-7pm) - Work on 1 of the 3 categories- Design, Website, and Mobile/web applications. Submit your project, along with a demo video. Participants may choose to attend panels for TIQC or Open ExO.
  • End of Hackathon (7:00-7:20pm) - Project submissions will be judged based on creativity, utility, and demo video appeal.
  • Closing Ceremony (7:30pm) - Zoom link to the Closing Ceremony will be posted, and winning teams will be announced.

WHAT'S IN IT FOR ME?

  • Winning teams receive $250 worth of gift cards and swag
  • All participants receive ExO crypto tokens
  • Network with Tech Incubator and Open ExO representatives
  • Flex your novel and impactful project on your portfolio
  • Connect with other tech-oriented students
